LFT advice for Spain please?! First post covid hol!

I've checked out the recommended test providers and I'm surprised the LFT you get from randox ect is one you just do at home and upload the photo, then get emailed your certificate.
My question is, is this definitely accepted by Spain? Don't they need to be supervised? I've asked randox and easyjet and they won't confirm. 🙄 Also checked gov and spain health websites but neither clarify if unsupervised LFTs are accepted or not! First post covid hol and I'm so scared for anything to go wrong! 😭 Find it a bit mad they'll accept an uploaded pic as proof!

Really appreciate anyone with experience of doing these please!

I've travelled a few times and have never done a supervised test. I'm travelling on Wednesday (to Spain) and just bought a Randox test that you verify through the app. Assuming that's fine as it doesn't say anywhere it needs to be supervised

Can I recommend Cheap Holiday Expert? She gives great easy to understand travel advice, and knows her stuff.

Here

I'm guessing you aren't vaxxed?? If you are, you don't need a test at all!

@Longbin thanks very much for your quick reply! Are Randox quite quick emailing the result? Also is the 24hrs up based on departure or arrival time? I'm also worried about flight delays messing the timing up! Prob overthinking a bit! 🙈

I haven't used the app but last time it took about an hour, so really quick. I just do it from departure time, so I check in 24 hours and then do that any forms. There is still a form to fill in for Spain.

@CointreauVersial thanks very much I'll check her out! Me and DH are jabbed, but DD not, she had covid in March so messed up getting her vax. It's all riding on her negative result poor soul! We've had this hol booked since 2019 and kept rescheduling so the anxiety is in overload of actually finally getting away on hol again without it going wrong!

We came Back from Spain a few days ago - Alicante. One of our party just did the home antigen text and uploaded the result. The rest of us had boosters so regular digital covid passes. However, we were never asked about covid passes/tests anything at any point so I think - at Alicante at least - they've got to the point where they don't really care! (There was a table in the baggage hall where a few staff were sat and apparently doing 'random checks' but no one on our flight got pulled over!

QueSyrahSyrah · 03/08/2022 19:21

If she had it in March can she get a recovery certificate OP? It's a shade less than 6 months depending when she had it so she should be ok with that?

RomComPhooey · 03/08/2022 19:25

I’ve been to mainland Spain and Balearics recently. The mainland airport was doing spot checks, so I got pulled aside and had to show my vaccination record whereas the rest of my party were let through. At the Balearics airport everyone had to go through a COVID checking area and we all had to present our vax records.

@Charmer7 great to hear thanks so much!

@QueSyrahSyrah if only! We got nhs pcr tests just before they stopped doing them, and they lost our results! By the time we found out she was testing negative. I was actually happy we had covid as was basically a mild cold, solely for the purpose of getting a recovery certificate for her for this hol, but without certified proof of a positive we can't get the recovery cert! 🤷‍♀️

@RomComPhooey interesting to hear.. We are going to the Balearics! This is why I want to make sure everything is 100% correctly done for us!

@4everhopeful I've had it within the last 6 months too which is why I'm not having a booster. I've never really had my paperwork checked too much, don't worry you'll honestly be fine. Especially if it's for your daughter. Have an amazing holiday!!
