Single parent holiday tips?

I arrived in spain yesterday with my 14 year old and 10 year old.
We are staying in a lovely self catering apartment, small gated complex with a small pool.
I have done holidays on my own with them previously ( separated from their dad about 5 years ago now), but the last 2 holidays were all inclusive resorts with everything to hand. I am now panicking i'm going to feel quite isolated for the next 2 weeks ( and that they are too). it's a good 15 minute walk to get to the nearest shops and bars and it's boiling! We walked to the main strip last night but then had something to eat and walked back with them moaning about the walk and me left wishing i had booked a hotel so we could have just gone and sat in the hotel bar and they could have had a wonder about.
so please experienced self caters share your tips if you will to help me make this work. Thank you 😊

I don’t think there’s a lot you can do now you’re actually there, apart from hire bikes/research public transport options/ take a taxi. I assume you haven’t hired a car. Perhaps make the most of the isolation and use it as a chance to really relax and have some ‘you’ time! If your dc get really bored, they might not mind the walk to ‘the strip’ next week!
