Hi, just wondering if anyone has been and if they think that 2 weeks would be too long to spend there? Thinking February/March time of year. Just myself and DH.

Thank you

I went for 2 weeks AI a few years ago. It’s long enough. We hired a car for a few days to see the island too.

Went with DH last November. It really depends on what you look for in a holiday. We were there for 10 days and I wouldn’t have wanted to be there any longer, but that’s because we don’t do lying around in the sun. If you like hanging around a pool or on a beach, it would be fine. We hired a car and found enough to do for our 10 days (Harrison’s Cave, Hunte’s Gardens, tour of Kensington Oval Cricket Ground and various other things). The people are lovely and friendly, lots of lovely places to eat.

I’d do a week in Barbados and a week on a another island.

We have friends that lie by pools for 2 weeks. Barbados offers more than that but it really depends if you want more. There are other beaches to see and plantation houses. The roughed East Coast is worth exploring.

I would rather spend 1 week on Virgin Gorda or one week on a yacht!

I'm happy spending 2 weeks there, much of it lazing on the beach with a good book the odd day trip thrown in. It's much like any other holiday, what do you like doing, how long would you normally go for?

You could do a cruise and stay. One week in Barbados and one week on a cruise visiting some different islands. It's basically a beach holiday so for us a week would be enough. It's great for snorkeling, kayaking, boat trips etc.

Ooh….good ideas here regarding a cruise etc, thank you.

if we’re going to different places, usually about 2 and a half weeks holiday.

Although we can do some time lying on the beach reading, we like walking, historical things, food etc.

My worry was that there might not be enough to see, but it sounds like if we space things out to do, that it could be ok. Kinda having buyers regret 😂, and worrying that we will be wishing the time away.

Thank you everyone

There's plenty to see in Barbados. I use to visit for just over two weeks.
