Crit air sticker France

Hello,
We are driving to Angers in Friday, and I am trying to get my head around the crit air sticker. We don't currently have one, and have left it too late to buy one. The websites I have been looking at say that Angers needs a sticker sometimes, when the authorities decide to activate it. Can anyone help me find out if we currently need one? Is there a website where I can look it up please?
(My French is ok, but not brilliant and I am slow at reading it).

We’re going next week too, what is one of these stickers?

@littlefireseverywhere in France (as well as many other countries in Europe) there are clean air zones which require a sticker which you buy and put in your car. In France they have specific areas where the stickers are only necessary occasionally, when pollution is high presumably. I am struggling to find a website that will give me the info on Angers.

You can buy one now and they'll email it over - an email copy seems to be enough for anywhere other than Paris.

Other than Paris it doesn't particularly seem to be enforced though so if it is only air quality dependant you'll probably be fine.

@undermilkjug ah! Amazing. I thought it had to be the actual sticker. I shall try to sort the email tomorrow. Thank you Smile

I only realised about this a few weeks ago. Not going into a zone specifically but got one just in case we got lost near a city!
They cost about €4. You'll get a confirmation email and that contains a certificate that seeks to do the job. Actual sticker came through about 2 weeks later.
Might be too late but a liber tag for the tolls is great and you just sail through the tolls (you pay via DD).

There's an app which will show you the crit air restrictions in place on any given day - its called Green- Zones and free to download from the android app store (sorry not sure about apple).

You can put in what type of vehicle you have and the crit air sticker level you have (or inficate you dont have one) and it'll show you where you can and can't drive - super simple!
