Will EasyJet go bust?

I have just booked next year's holiday with them. Mentioned it to a friend and she said they may go under ShockSad
I hadn't heard anything about this. My guess is that they are no more at risk than any other airline, but can anyone else confirm or deny?
Thanks.

That's my take as well.

What follows isn't a personal criticism OP, it's a general one - Putting it politely there's a special place in hell for whoever starts these rumours....aviation can be volatile anyway without passenger sentiment being influenced by tittle tattle.

Nobody can confirm or deny, nobody here knows anything substantive, there are no magic indicators.....in my experience from when I was inside the industry rumours didn''t mean much and you only knew if an outfit was really unravelling hours before it happened.

Best advice I can offer is the usual stuff about ensuring you have travel insurance, book with a credit card etc.

Not heard this. My take is the same as yours and I just wouldn't worry about it.

Personally, I think your friend is talking bollocks.

Thank you both. I'm sure she said she read it from a reputable source.
I actually really like the airline and would be sad if it went under.

Go "bust" possibly, it's was founded and is partially owned by stelios who family is worth billions. I very much doubt it will cease to exist easyJet and virgin to me are the safe bets at the minute as they are the babies of very wealthy men who would want to save them if it came to it. Can imagine them attempting to buy back a large stake very cheap.

Who is your friend?
