Stansted airport

Hi,
anyone flown from Stansted during this summer holidays? I‘m flying out Friday morning with Jet2. We have security fast track as when I flew out early July took nearly 2 hours to get through security and needed to run across airport to make our flight. Can anyone tell me how’s it been since kids broke up? I was planning on arriving 3 hours before..

We flew from there on 20th July also with Jet2 and getting through security etc was fine but once through security it was packed!! Nowhere to sit down, mega queues out of all the coffee shops and this was at 5am. Honestly not seen it so busy.

However, coming home we must have been incredibly lucky as we whizzed through passport control and hardly any queues. I think it just depends on the day and flight times to be honest!

We flew from Stansted on July 26th - late afternoon flight. We arrived just over 3 hours before and had plenty of time - security was pretty smooth. All I would say is that all the restaurants were packed and some not serving food at all. We managed to get something to eat in Leon but it wasn't a pleasant experience so maybe don't bank on eating before your flight.

We flew from Stansted last week. Flight was at 730am and we were told to get there 3 hours ahead. We arrived at 5 due to the taxi being late and dropped off our bags and went through security with time to spare but I've never seen the airport so busy! We were very lucky to get through the gates to queue for security (note, not to get through security itself) because about 5 mins later those gates shut for crowd control and didn't reopen for about half an hour.

You should be fine if you get there 3 hours ahead though.
