Choosing between Ikos resorts for honeymoon

Hello! My fiancé and I are currently planning our honeymoon for May 2023 and are looking at the Ikos resorts in Greece. We will be staying for a week, travelling from London, no kids. Just wondering whether anyone has any experience of Ikos Olivia vs. Ikos Aria? Seem to be similar price for the time we are looking at. Can see that Aria is bigger and newer, more restaurants etc., but Olivia perhaps more well-established. Any insights/experiences would be very welcome!

FYI Its a lovely resort chain, but will be full of pre schoolers and my child breaks up the 23rd of June. I wouldn't go for honeymoon tbh.

There isn't much to see close to Oceania or Olivia so I’d pick an Island one.

Breaks up 23 MAY! Wish we could edit!!!

What the others have said … look at adults only hotels. Ikos is forever increasing in popularity with families. There are adults only pools but not restaurants. Seriously if you can leave Ikos for when you have children!

Yes, that had crossed our minds, but we'll be gone by half-term so didn't think it should be too much of a problem?

I’ve been to both

Very very kid / family friendly

Appreciate there will be pre-schoolers but we don't mind that, quite like there being kids around!

🤷‍♀️

so many other places I would go to if on my honeymoon.

don’t get me wrong - both resorts are lovely. But the primary attraction is how wonderful with and for young children.

Having been to an IKOS resort outside of school holidays with my children when they were young, I really wouldn’t go there on honeymoon. There are children everywhere.

There’s usually an adults only pool but there will be overtired kids in the restaurants late at night. They are fabulous resorts but so family friendly and a lot of Russians visit (and their parenting style is very different to ours!!!).
