What to do…

In Sorrento for a week with mardy-arse teens. What would you say are the “ must-do’s” (apart from ditching them).

Capri is lovely and they have a cable car, The boat trip going over is also lovely as you get to see the Amalfi coast in all its glory.
Could you take a trip to Vesuvius and Pompei (sorry may be the wrong sp).
Ask them to Google one thing each that takes thier fancy doing

Naples
Vesuvius
Pompeii
Herculaneum
Amalfi coast to see positano and Amalfi
Roman ruins at Paestum
Swim in sea and people watch
We have had hire cars when we have been in this area but the buses work well and take the terror out of the driving and the trains make sense for Naples trip .
I love Naples and Herculaneum is a must see if you are in the area. Sorrento is a good base but less interesting than the other towns in the area.
If you are sailors you can rent boats and if you are walkers head up to the headland above Sorrento where you can see both bays with the islands beyond.
Having said all that, it can be very hot so lounging around in the middle of the day is understandable.
