Child need to attend passport appt?

Anyone know if baby needs to attend fast track appt for first child passport? Can’t seem to find info about this.
Also assume only one parent needs to attend?
Could do without dragging newborn into city.

They don't need to attend for a fast track appointment (just make sure you have the application form, photos and supporting documents). I didn't take my 3 year old son with me for his first passport at the Peterborough office.
