Just that really. Have always wanted to take our boys but I'm just not sure what it would be like with children?!

They don't need any entertainment - our usual holiday is laid back Greece for 2 weeks SC with (communal) pool just not sure if they would be bored in the Maldives?

The island I went to didn't have a pool, it had a jetty and an outer manmade reef to ensure safe swimming, but as a parent, you needed to keep an eye on them. Best check the facilities carefully for each island.

Also, the food was fairly limited in variety. It will be fine for tweens as long as they aren't especially picky eaters.

Do they like watersports? Reading in the shade?

They're not readers but would enjoy watersports and snorkelling. Not picky eaters. I'm just not sure!
If it wasn't so damn expensive it wouldn't be so bad but we're looking around 12k and I really need to justify spending such alot of money

Have just been with a 16 year old and a 13 year old so not too dissimilar. They had a blast. Snorkelled most of the day, chilled out by the pool and enjoyed the mocktails and buffet meals. We also did a few snorkelling trips which were fab. They’re also old enough to scuba dive - check out the Padi website.
