We are booked for next month. Have two DS 18 and 14 who are sporty. We haven't done this type of holiday before and are really looking forward to it. The facilities and things available to do look great. Has anyone been and how did you like it. Thx

It's one of my favourite hotels, it's absolutely brilliant.

The food is good, they've got a selection of restaurants to choose from and the day entertainment is good. I remember they had an inflatable assault course one day!

Oh thank you for replying. Really pleased to hear that you love it. My DS want somewhere with lots of sporty/water based
things and mixing with other teens their age so sounds promising.

Hi, how was your holiday @deuxgarcons ? Thinking of booking for next year, my two will be 7 and 12.

@DancingLady we had a lovely holiday and I'll give you my take on the plusses and minuses. I will add we have never done an AI holiday before with DC's, only luxury ones pre kids!
Yes it's a "compound" ie a hotel and grounds that you don't need to leave. The resort was very clean and the rooms were a good size, nice and clean. We had booked two rooms as my DC are 18 and 14. We had requested adjacent rooms but didn't get that and DC's were in a different block but not far. The balcony on the room was tiny so you didn't really want to sit out there as it was 'hemmed in'. Facilities in room good. Eg kettle, fridge etc.
Three nice pools one of which was adult only but once lifeguard went people turned up with kids which was a bit off as DH and i wanted a quiet dip at end of day and the other two pools were more fun and family orientated. The water slides would be great for your kids age.
Food was good quality and lots of choices and yes a buffet. We found if we went later then staff slow to clear previous diners stuff and took longer to get drinks. There are other restaurants but we only managed one but made a nice change.
My DCs did waterskiing and banana boat but that was about all there was. You had to do a course for sailing which we didn't want. Mine also did the football. Lots of sun loungers but get down early with towels, but if you don't there's plenty just further up the beach.
It was busy and we felt it would have been better with less people!

Lots of evening entertainment if you like that. We would have liked a quiet bar without the constant entertainment and loud music which is everywhere.
If you asked my 14 year old he would say best holiday ever. He met group of kids his age. Hung out with them all day at pool, water slides, football, food all day etc. Also they hung out in evening after dinner so it ticked all his boxes!!
It has everything for kids your DC age and I'm sure you will have a great time there.
Happy to respond if you have specific questions.
One week was enough for us, we couldn't have done two.

When it comes to restaurants in New York City, the choices are always limited, but some establishments stand out from the rest. The lower east side restaurants located at 107 Eldridge Street, New York, NY 10002 is one such place that beckons all food lovers and adventurers to try its unique charms at least once in their lifetime.
