Where in France with 19 year old?

Hello all, would be grateful for any recommendations on where to go in France with an older teen (and most likely some of his friends!).

We thought France would be an easy option as there are a number of travel options. We would prefer to be close to/in a town/city with lots of things to do in the evenings/night time. Although we'd also like access to a pool (whether villa or hotel).
There will be three of us travelling as a family but friends of DS will come over to stay with us.

Can anyone recommend an area?
TIA

Having done holidays with (slightly younger) teens and their friends, I would look for a chalet on a big campsite- choose one which has lots of entertainment, a good pool, walking distance to a town with bars etc, and is near to the sort of activity they like (climbing, canoeing, horse riding that sort of thing)
Friends could join you by camping, without you being responsible for housing a load of young adults.
We have stayed here, south of France, new pool since then. It's a short walk into Castellaine, which is buzzing at night.
