Majorca - do we need to fill in covid forms?

Hi we are off on first family holiday for three years to Majorca next week. We all have NHS Covid travel passes downloaded onto our phones. Do we also need to fill out any other forms to travel? Do we need the STPH form? I’ve tried asking online and can’t quite understand the answer! Many thanks

No you don't need other forms if you are all fully vaccinated with covid passes

dementedpixie · 24/07/2022 12:06

From .gov website

Travellers from the UK who can either show proof of being fully vaccinated, or of having recovered from prior COVID-19 infection in the last 6 months, or who are aged under 12 years old, do not need to complete Spain’s Travel Health Control form. Everyone else must complete Spain’s Travel Health Control form no more than 48 hours before travel to Spain. See Spain’s Ministry of Health travel pages for more detail.

Thanks so much! Was getting mighty confused!

I’m in exactly the same position…going to Majorca next week and first holiday since pre covid.

is the stph form the passenger locator form?

Bickles · 25/07/2022 06:02

No. Here now.
Print out NHS Covid pass (they prefer paper). They will scan the QR code on your booster.
That’s all.

Orchidflower1 · 25/07/2022 06:09

Do under 18s need a booster to get into Majorca does anyone know?
oldest dc are adults so have had all 3 doses. Younger teenagers have had the two. Wondered if it’s worth getting them a booster and even if we have time anyway!

honkeytonkwoman38 · 25/07/2022 06:40

I think it says if your last vaccination was over X days then you need a booster. Look on Spain travel advice section under covid.

dementedpixie · 25/07/2022 06:54

No, under 18s don't need a booster to qualify as fully vaccinated for Spain. Age 18+ need the booster if it's been >270days since their 2nd dose

Orchidflower1 · 25/07/2022 11:48

Thanks both @dementedpixie and @honkeytonkwoman38

I can understand why @soupdragon321 was getting confused. It’s hard to keep track of changes when you don’t travel.

op I hope you have a wonderful holiday. ☀️🏖

No forms other than the NHS app. We did need a mask for the transfer bus though. Think a few people were caught out by that!

wingingit33 · 25/07/2022 21:18

Back last week. We all had nhs letters which were scanned at Palma. Kids 12 and 8 both double vaccinated so also had letters. Really quick and easy.

ChittyChittyBoomBoom · 25/07/2022 22:43

Thanks, wouldn’t have thought about a mask!

Findmebythesea · 25/07/2022 22:51

Currently in Majorca, In bed surrounded by 3 fans - we forgot to check villa had air conditioning!! Just download the vaccination certificate from your NHS app to scan. No other forms and no one is wearing masks.

dementedpixie · 25/07/2022 22:55

You need a mask on public transport and to go into the pharmacy/other medical places.

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 25/07/2022 23:00

Does anyone know what to do if your passport is in your maiden name and Covid pass in married name please?

Sofedupofitall · 25/07/2022 23:04

We are heading there next week but think one of us who needs a test may have covid 😢😢. Lat flow is showing as negative but I’m gutted.

stripes1 · 26/07/2022 14:44

Hope you don’t mind me hijacking your thread to ask a question for those who are there now or recently. I’ve got all the Covid forms sorted but I’ve seen something today saying that we have to prove we have €900 each plus proof of accommodation. Are they actually checking this? Apparently it’s post Brexit (we haven’t been since) we are staying with relatives and don’t have time to get the forms they recommend so panicking slightly!

countdowntonap · 26/07/2022 16:05

@stripes1 I haven’t heard of that.
we got off the plane at Palma, breezed through the Covid check
ares by showing the pass on our phones then went through to security/luggage.

Ooh thank you for this tip. I didn’t know about this. I assume it’s masks for taxis too? We are going to get a taxi from the airport as short transfer.

Do you need to wear a mask on the plane?

countdowntonap · 27/07/2022 09:00

@Orchidflower1 we flew on Friday with Easyjet to Palma and it was no masks on the plane or airport. We wore a mask in our taxi as the driver was wearing one. You’re not allowed on any public transport without one so taxis are most likely the same. Also, pharmacies require you to wear one.

Orchidflower1 · 27/07/2022 09:17

Thank you @countdowntonap hope you’re having a lovely holiday.

I will def pack some masks in hand luggage- our transfer is only 20ish mins from palma but I’d rather have them just in case.

Watapalava · 27/07/2022 16:43

You only need masks on flight if they are operating with Spanish crew

we needed them to fly out as all crew were Spanish but didn’t coming back

Orchidflower1 · 27/07/2022 21:40

Thanks @Watapalava - who did you fly with?

Watapalava · 28/07/2022 07:06

EasyJet

countdowntonap · 28/07/2022 18:25

@Orchidflower1 you can see whether your aircraft is British or Spanish based on Flight Tracker.
