Stansted: parking for twilight check in

Follow up to my other thread on a 6am flight - if we stay in an airport hotel and use the Jet2 twilight check in bag drop option, what do we do with the car while we check in?
Do we need to go for short stay parking or are there any shuttle buses or similar from the hotels?

The hotel should have a shuttle bus, ask them about it.

3 hotel choices really:
walking distance either side of the terminal - either Hampton by Hilton - very nice, or another hotel the other side (sometimes comes up as “mystery hotel” option on the seach pages like Holiday Extras.

or Premier Inn, very nice - which is a 7 minute bus ride from the bus station right below the terminal….every 30 mins right through the night

Mid Stay parking (my preference) is a short walk from Premier Inn…

the logistics of bag dropping can be difficult though, as you can”t drive your car up the airport terminal ramp…

if you are using the twilight bag drop - probably best to park Mid or Long Stay, get the free shuttle bus / drop bags / then hotel either side of terminal…

And maybe Premier Inn on the return leg , if overnight needed, and if you are parked at mid-stay

(I feel like I have gained the equivalent of an O-Level …..in studying all the possible options over the past year or three 😂)

Jet 2 checkin in the middle of the terminal, right in front of the doors as you come in, always well staffed

Just reviving this - we are heading there now and planning to use short stay (from home). Heard some horror stories about long queues so thought we'd do the day before.

Hi, Just wondering if anybody had any fresh experience of the twilight check-in parking situation at London Stanstead Airport? It it really worth paying for parking to drop the bags off? do the hotels run any transport services.
