Calella de Palafrugel?

I went there to do work experience in 6th form!

It is a small place, the main beach can be a bit crowdeed but if you follo the costal path there a loads of quiet coves.

Spain in general is very welcoming to kids so I doubt that you would have any problems in restaurants etc.

When I was there the big campsite resort thing did lots of kids entertainment. not sure if you can access it if you are not staying there though.

From what I remember the next town over (not a very long walk) was less tourist filled.

it's lovely... we went went ours were 3 and 5 and 4 and 6.and even nicer is tamariu which you can walk to from Calella on the coast path. It's such a brilliant part of Spain. there's alovely restaurant on calella sea front which means you can sit and drink and eat whilst the kids jump off the wall on to the sand for hours and hours. It's great.

this place?

Sounds right if you are going to Barcelona. I remember it was near Estartit and my dad was quite interested to know how it had changed as he spent all his summers in Estartit as a child. Of course it may have changed a fair bit as it was 7 years ago now

I think we went there years ago, near Llorett de Mars?
Yes, it was a ncie beach, but I htnk the actual resort was pretty busy.
But htis was 10 () years ago. Pre kids.

ooh lovely. and the kids can swim in the sea? We've booked into the Calella Palace but there isn't much of a pool.i'll be so disappointed...and so will the kids...if we can't have a decent swim!

IIRC the beach has actual British sand. It was imported to cover the pebble beach.
I may not have the correct Callela though as their are two along that stretch of coastline.
