Need Villa recommendations... I'm thinking luxury, maybe greek islands?

Anybody stayed anywhere lovely that they would recommend. not too far from a beach or town, must have a pool.

I'm toying with a greek island or maybe Majorca, somewhere not too far..

TIA

we've booked a villa in Majorca with a company called something like vintage villas. not been yet so can't tell quality but given the price i'm expecting it to be nice.

I didn't think the prices were two bad.. Was looking on James' villas for a week and the luxury ones seem to be ~1600-1700 for high season.. but the flights seem to bump up the price.

Majorca might be better for us as could fly from our local airport.

There are some lovely lovely villas but don't really want to be more than 15-20 mins drive from a town or beach..

decisions, decisions eh.. shall we share our finds?

Have you looked at Ibiza at all?

that's gorgeous - too many bedrooms for us mind.

We had a lovely villa in Kefalonia a few years ago - 2 bedrooms, each with en suite facilities and a balcony, open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area, huge patio with outside table, massive built in barbecue and a pool, about 10m x 5m (slightly bigger than the standard size I think).

Through Meon villas. Cost also included a hire car.

Kefalonia is very pretty and because it's quite small most places are close to the coast.

The north of the island is more touristy (although the south is being developed quickly, with lots of villas) and the roads are more mountainous - it took me a couple of days to acclimatise to the roads/Greek drivers, so I was glad we were based in the south rather than the north!

But Meon are expensive - don't know what your budget is - our holiday was around £5K for 4 of us for 2 weeks.

I have been a few times with this company

Very nice villas and the company really look after you (even have a separate check in at the airport so you don't have to queue!

Have to admit haven't used them since having DD (4) due to lack of funds, but as soon as I am working again, plan to use them to treat myself after the shock of going to work...

I like this

I guess it's easier to afford for me as will be splitting the cost with boyf.. I just think that's no more expensive that I paid to go to egypt last year (although I guess that was all in..

So maybe that's too expensive for me too lol

We have just finished rennovating our house in Tuscany and it will be rented out this summer.

Website is www.myholidayintuscany.com.

It is about 30 minutes from a beach, 5 minutes from the main town, situated in a small hamlet in northern tuscany - tucked away from the well trodden tuscan tourist trails. There is a pool, 4 doubles and 2 singles (which will each sleep 2 kids as they are trundle beds), 2 travel cots, 2 high chairs, steriliser, fence in front of the pool to stop toddlers falling in etc! Sleeps 10+ people.
