What can I take to entertain little ones

Really want to keep little ones off of tablets or iPads this holiday. We will be staying in a villa with pool so that will take up lots of the day and there is a park close by but any good ideas for toys or things to take for down time? Tia

Rather than bring too much with you, I'd suggest looking for a few things on holiday, every time you go to a supermarket. We usually pick up colouring pens/pencils and a sharpener, colouring books, paper, stickers, play doh. Each time we do a food shop on holiday we get something while we're there and that way the novelty doesn't wear off too soon. We once found a little Duplo set in Lidl which sparked an interest in more Duplo once we got home.

Sticker books, the ones where you fill in a scene of something or have to get the stickers in the ‘right’ bits, it takes them a fair bit of time.

also a game like Dobble.

How old are they? Games like uno, dobble etc are good for mixed ages. I'd take colouring and drawing stuff, books, small bag of lego, some small figures (dinosaurs/animals/people).

Sticker books, colouring books are a hit with all ages here. Dobble/uno and a reading book for older children. Toddler trucks and stacking cups keep little hands occupied

How funny, I came onto MN this morning with the intention of starting exactly this thread Grin

I always like to take a few toys from home, especially to encourage them into shady spots when it's getting too hot in the middle of the day.

I really like this car track from Smyths because the track is bendy and breaks into small pieces so it's really easy to fit around your other bits in the suitcase at the end of packing and seems to take up no space at all! www.smythstoys.com/uk/en-gb/toys/construction-and-cars/car-toys/glow-tracks/glow-tracks-double-loop-set/p/173670

Following along for other ideas ☺️

A roll of Sellotape and a ball of string keep my grandsons busy for hours!
