Hi,

I'm booking a summer holiday tomorrow for the end of August. Was going to book with Tui, until an advert came up on my phone for Thomas Cook. I had a look and there are much better options on their website.

I thought they went bust, but it turns out they were bought by a Chinese company, and they are now online only. They are ATOL protected, so that gives a bit of peace of mind.

My question is, is it really ok to book with them? Has anyone booked with them recently?

Thanks

I’d like to know the same … did you end up booking with them @Shiningstarr

No we didn't, we ended up going to Dubai with Emirates. Spent a lot more but a fab holiday.

AFAIK Thomas Cook ar not a package tour operator, just an agent. You may as well book your flights direct with airline and accommodation direct with hotel.
If you want the protection of a package then Jet2 have been great for me.

Yes that’s what I’m thinking , it’s more like ice Lolly etc isn’t it and I always avoid them.
