GH1C application - how long are cards taking to arrive?

Hi
We recently booked our first foreign holiday since pre-COVID and have just noticed that our EH1C cards have expired. We've applied for new GH1C cards but travel in 4 weeks so a little worried that they may not arrive in time.
Has anyone applied for a GH1C or renewed their EH1C recently and if so how long did yours take to arrive?
We have travel insurance too so do we definitely need GH1C's to travel?
Thanks

Came within a week or 2.

A couple of weeks.

3 weeks. But tbh you are fine without. There is a web page that explains that if your card is in transit etc and you had a health need there is a number to call and ad hoc cover.

Thanks everyone, sounds like you all got yours with our time limit and even if doesn't arrive in time we should be okay without actual cards one way or another.

23 days and the day before we were due to travel. I know some are taking longer but it's very random. Hopefully you'll get yours as it's good to have it to show when/if needed.
