Paris boutique hotel recommendations please

I'm booking a surprise trip for my mum and her friend to Paris. I'm looking for a boutique hotel, its for her 80th Birthday so I want it to be special and would love it to have a bit of a wow factor. Definitely needs to be central as she can't walk long distances. any ideas or suggestions would be great.

I’ve stayed here, it’s very central and service was great.

We've stayed here a couple of times. It's very central and has relatively big rooms for Paris. Some rooms have amazing views over the gardens too.

I don't know if it's "wow" enough for you but we just stayed at the Adele et Jules which is listed on Mr & Mrs Smith and loved it.

We stayed here a few weeks ago and would definitely return - www.hotelleparisis.com

I’m not sure if it will be central enough for you though but it was very close to a metro station on line 8 which was very useful.

thatbigbear · 12/07/2022 10:20

these all look lovely, thanks OP you've got me planning next year's holiday already :)

cheesenpickle · 12/07/2022 18:57

Look at the options around Montparnasse.

We stayed here last week and loved it - the staff were fantastic (we were travelling with our 2 small children) and a lovely neighbourhood near the Eiffel Tower. I’ve visited Paris many times before & this was definitely the best trip by far because of the hotel & the location:

Which place have you decided on and have you already been to Paris @cheesenpickle ?

cheesenpickle · 20/08/2022 17:14

@WarmWaterWarm i was going to book the abbaye but then was recommended the Millesime and as they had a suite which is a decent size have booked it for March. Mum's birthday on 1st September so hoping she will love it!
