I'm about to go on my first overseas hol with DS (6) - just the two of us.
It's beachy/ pool etc.
so what do you do with valuables when you're in the pool/ in the sea? Phone/cash etc. I get leaving your book/ change of clothes/ 10,000 snacks and nipping off for a wee, but you can take a bag with you for phone/ money etc. what do you do when you're in the pool/ sea?? Come on wise Mumsnetters! Help me!

I have a waterproof pouch for my mobile phone…. Can put my phone, some cash/card/hotel key-card there
pouch is on a lanyard… yes it’s not the most fashionable but a lot of people wear them
also depends… if pool in the hotel, valuables stay in room
try to minimise what comes to the beach
but honestly- waterproof pouch… get it on Amazon/decathlon before you go

I don’t take any valuables out if we will be swimming. Whack room card in between book pages, or with shoes/towel but just leave the expensive stuff in the room

Brill thanks - waterproof pouch. Agreed not going to set the style world on fire but practical and that'll do me 😆 thank you!!
Are they totally waterproof to swim in?!

I don't really take money round the pool side. My beach bag has my phone in though and I usually leave it on my sun lounger... I've had no issues. I do tend to cover it though rather than leave it on full display.
