Should I go to Paris or USA this year for holiday?

What kind of holiday are you looking for? Where in the USA? Can you drive?

I just got back from Paris. Lots of good art exhibitions if that's your thing.

I'd be wary of booking America due to travel chaos which is going to get worse once school hols start in a week or two.
At least France you have Eurostar, the Chunnel and ferry as options.

Totally different holidays, durations and budgets so how can anyone advise?

New York. No, I can't drive.

I love New York and I hate Paris so my vote is New York!

Of those two I would choose New York but there are many, many other places in the US I would rather go to than NY

The US - a huge country comprising pretty much every climate and city type you cold imagine or the capital city of our closest neighbour? That's a weird choice.
Don't go anywhere except NY in the US if you don't drive

There are other cities you can visit without driving, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, DC and a few others.
