Current passport waiting times

I've just renewed my adult passport - annoyingly our travel provider has stated that passports must be valid for 6 months after your stay ends and mine expires two weeks too early, we're going to Australia - so I've applied to renew it today. We don't go until the beginning of October which is just over 13 weeks, but I've been hearing of some horrifyingly long delays. Has anyone renewed recently and how long did it take? Mine is going to Liverpool.

Applied for adult renewal online recently took just under 3 weeks

I applied beginning of the month, sent documents last week, and its been approved and ready for printing today. Mine went to Liverpool too, so seems to be moving fast

Sent off a child renewal on Monday last week. New passport just arrived in the post this morning.

I think you may well be right @Peccary . My daughters is still stuck from April. Its a total nightmare.
