Algarve - short break ideas

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone could suggest a quiet resort in the Algarve? It is for two friends celebrating our birthdays. Quiet resort, good food. Ideally nearish to Faro airport. I am googling but hoping that someone can suggest from experience.

If by resort you mean place, then either Vilamoura or Faro itself could be options.
If you mean resort as in accommodation complex then I'm afraid I can't help you, sorry!

We’ve just been to Salema which was very quiet. Is the far end, not particularly close to Faro but was only just over an hour away.

google Salema beach village. 6/7 nice restaurants in town.

Thanks you both for your help. I have not been to the Algarve since I was a child and have no idea where to start planning.

I really love Carvoeiro. The beach is beautiful, restaurants fantastic and the coastal walks are spectacular.

It's about 30/40 minutes from the airport.

Alvor is lovely or Tavira.
