Husband has smudged signature on new passport

My oh has accidentally smudged his signature on his new passport. There's basically a black circle where the pen has leaked and then he's signed next to it. Do you think this will be an issue? Really worried as flying on Sunday.

No I've never known any one query a signature as long as there is one. I had my new passport handed back to me at check-in so I could sign it as I had forgotten but that's about as much attention as anyone has ever paid

This is new isn't it? DH had to sign his most recent passport, but last time I applied I had to sign inside a box and that was then digitally printed onto the passport itself.

@BertieBotts yes it's a new thing. You have to sign above your photo.

I've attached the mark. It's worrying me as it's quite a big smudge.

hey did you manage to fly? my signature is thick and smudged a bit

@LuckyTanya99 yeah it was no issue, they didn't even look at the signature and we've been abroad twice now so I wouldn't worry 😊
