Passport reassurance

Just wanted to reassure anyone who's concerned about passport times, that we have personally just had a really good experience.

We renewed 3 passports online on June 25th, all arrived today!
Less than 2 weeks start to finish.

Of course it varies by experience and I believe maybe a first passport would take a little longer, but just thought this may reassure a few people!

And me - had a good experience. Three passport renewals 1 adult and 2 children and took 3 weeks. Really impressed with the service. We are not travelling until end of august so am happy with the quick turnaround

I'm glad yours turned up in time. I put in 3 applications for the family earlier this year. 2 turned up within 3 weeks, the third took 13 weeks despite hours on the phone to the passport office and a chaser from my MP. Holiday ruined.

So I wouldn't take your experience as reassurance. If I had a holiday booked and needed a passport I would recommend looking for fast track appointments.
