Hi wise MN

my husband has the opportunity to take 4 weeks unpaid leave next year probably around June time.

we will have a four year old and an almost two year old by then.

Where would you go if you had those age kids and 4-6 weeks?

please give me inspiration!

Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Bali. On a budget too, plenty of time to spend!!

France. Lovely in June. Not crowded everywhere and you will have time to relax. No flights. No stress. Lovely beaches for the children and plenty to see. I would start in Normandy and work down to Brittany. As Dc are young, Spain would be great too. However I would not do loads of countries or flights.

Greek Island hopping?

I'd rent a nice place with all mod cons near the beach. France maybe. Or 2 places - 1 in the countryside, 1 by the sea. Brittany or Provence depending on how warm you like it.

I’d do Italy with children that age. You can travel around, it’s really child friendly and not too hot in June.

I’d also say Italy.

Italy is hot in June. Especially in cities. Not sure DC would enjoy it much.

Europe. My kids at those ages always took ages to settle into new places so o wouldn't hop about too much: have a base for a week at a time

I have a holiday home in Brittany and it is perfect in June and July. Lovely sandy beaches. My house is at Morlaix so a port to walk around, lovely restaurants, cafes and market twice a week, swimming pool complex and putting golf close by too as well as cycle green route. I often spend 6 weeks in summer holidays and totally unwind and relax.
