Swim ratios at Centre Parcs

I've searched and there were one or two threads about this already but thought I'd better get up to date advice as some threads were very old.

We're going to Whinfell CP for the first time so will gladly take any other advice anyone has too!

It states the swim ratio as 1 adult per child for 0-4 and 1 adult per 2 children 4-7.

Ours are 3 and 6, does this mean DH won't be able to take them swimming on his own (I was hoping to take myself off to the spa!) does anyone know if this is strictly enforced? Does that mean single parents can't take their kids swimming?!

6 year old easily looks over 7 but it's just whether it would flash up on the system when he is taking them in and they would get turned away!

I've not been for a few years but yes it was strictly enforced.

I am am lifeguard. You need 2 adults for a 3 and a 6 year old. It is almost certainly the same in your local leisure centre too.

Listen to the rules they’re there for your safety not your inconvenience x I’ve seen so many accidents in swimming pools which could have been avoided by more attentive parents it’s such a shame x

Always took my girls in by myself when they were both under 5, and DH was off swimming and on the slides with our eldest.
