what sort of thing do you fancy - south bank habitue here.

Fimbo · 16/01/2008 14:52

Isn't there a Pizza Express there somewhere (that's helpful isn't it?). Childrens menu and bookable.

LoveAngel · 16/01/2008 14:53

Is there an Askl down there? There's some sort pf pizza/pasta place there - I've taken my son a few times and they were very child friendly. There's also a Pizza Express right behind the NFT that is child friendly, as Fimbo said.

Sorry, an Ask

Wagamama is next to Giraffe and if you include South Bank to as far as Globe/Tate Modern then there is another Wagamama down there too and a nice looking Real Greek place pretty much on the waterfront
Am also SB habituee and have yet to successfully eat at Giraffe

ELR · 16/01/2008 14:58

taz is about 5 mins away behind waterloo station

bossykate · 16/01/2008 14:58

giraffe is desperately overrated, imho. strada is nice i think. kid friendly but has an adult vibe.

Fimbo · 16/01/2008 15:01

We have been to Giraffe at Spitalfields and although there was nothing specifically wrong with it, it was nothing to write home about.

bossykate · 16/01/2008 15:03

yes, tas or tas pide if you like turkish food.

Blu · 16/01/2008 15:05

Is Tas in The Cut?

Follow directions to the Young Vic theatre. It's almost opposite.

LoveAngel · 16/01/2008 17:58

Strada - that's the one! @bossykate - very child friendly in there.

dinny · 16/01/2008 19:04

thanks for these! was thinking Tas as it's one of my fave places.... it's my birthday lunch with friends and kids...

hmmm, where is Strada, BK? also maybe Real Greek... go to Tas so much - love it but want to maybe go somewhere new...

There are two Stradas - one at Royal Festival Hall between Giraffe and Wagamama and another one at More London, near Tower Bridge.

There is also an new branch of the fantastic Leon, just off the river at Bankside 123 behind Tate Modern. Busy weekday lunchtimes as it's next to lots of offices but quiet at weekends as it's off the river and tourists haven't discovered it.......yet.

LoveAngel · 16/01/2008 19:11

Strada at the RFH was the one I was thinking of.
