Rhodes I'm August

I'm trying to book for Rhodes in August for my family of 4 adults. We're looking for a quiet spot but with access to historic places of interest and also beach near. Rhodes town looks good.
I dont want teenage party town and busy hotels with a fight for the pool. Does anyone have any recommendations they have been to.

I can tell you where not to go - Kremesti . Unless you are kite surfers in which case you’ll love it. We had a great time but in spite off . It’s a niche town.

We went last August and stayed in the Lindos area but did a couple of nights in Rhodes town before getting a ferry to another island. There are reasonable buses if you do bot want to drive. We had a great time and fell in love with Rhodes. We tended to have quiet days by the pool and go out in the evening. Rhodes town and Lindos are both stunning at night. There are also some nice traditional villages to go to for an evening meal- we managed without a car but obviously you can be more flexible if you have one.

Lindos is stunning. Highly recommend. Do a day trip to Rhodes town - beautiful but gets extremely busy. Pefkos is near Lindos and quite nice, very laid back with a decent beach. You can easily get the bus to Lindos - public transport is good, cheap and the buses are air conditioned.

Kalathos is quiet( ish) but if you have a car everything is accessible .

Lindos or Kiotari are both lovely.
