Flying Jet2 at 8.30am on a Saturday. Thinking it might be worth paying- it includes breakfast. 2 adults 2 teens.£140.

Anyone else used it? Thanks.

We used it a couple of years ago. Well worth it. Comfier seating, food & drinks, more relaxed atmosphere. I've booked it again for when my auntie & I go to Rome in September.

I always book lounges. I can’t stand the noise and the amount of people at the airport so it’s a nice respite away from the hustle and bustle.

It used to be quite good. I went in last month as we flew through security and had far more time than we expected. It was more like a bad hotel buffet and not worth the money for the breakfast. But it kept us out of the shops (so we didn’t spend any other money) and we had somewhere comfyish and quiet to sit while we waited. I’m not sure I’d spend that much for the whole family.
I preferred the other one (1920 lounge?) as a luxury treat but it wasn’t open in May.

It sounds quite expensive compared to what I paid for my DD & I last week at Manchester Escape,I paid £42 for the two of us it was well worth it,fresh foods included bacon eggs & tomatoes all hot and delicious good selection of breads fruit and fresh coffee.Nice comfy area with good staff who are so helpful a great start to your holiday.
If you go on line and join Escape Lounges frequent visitors you will receive a 15% discount do this before you book your reservation.Dont book it via your travel agent its too expensive via them.

I have gratis lounge access via various memberships and Manchester escape is fairly standard. Expect a few comfy places to sit (sometimes overrun at busy times so you could end up standing!). Buffet breakfast with the likes of cereal, toast and jam, fruit and yoghurt, coffee from a machine, long life muffins and each of you can order a hot breakfast from the menu which is nice but teeny.
Fine if it's 'free' with a membership but £140 is a load of money that could be spent wisely in a skyside coffee shop. Especially as you are flying at 8.30am and won't be sitting about for long
Makes sense for us as we are child free and would probably smash the bar offerings as well as breakfast but I'd probably find out what you could get in standard departures outlets for £140 for all of you and foregoe a few minutes in a comfy seat in a lounge

Paid for lounges only make financial sense if you are going to drink a load of alcohol or you have several hours to kill and a really hungry for empty carbs to fill you up.

I've googled Manchester airports restaurants and there's lots of lovely ones. £140 will get you much better food and comfortable seating in one of those.

I'd be surprised if you ate £140 worth for breakfast!

Unless you want to drink alcohol or you have hours and hours to kill forget about the lounges and settle into a restaurant/coffee shop

Good god. I went before pandemic and would give it a mediocre rating but recent reviews are bloody terrible!

OP don't do it! Pretty would be better and you save £100

'Pret' would be be better

It’s just hearing that all the restaurants are overrun and there’s no where to sit etc…

By the sounds of the reviews the lounge will likely be even worse then! You are hemmed into a teeny area with limited seats trying to eat your moneys worth of long life muffins.
