Hoseasons in France?

We are trying to avoid any airport drama this year so thought we might ferry the France and drive but we would like some nice lodges with an opportunity for our ds to make friends and play footie like we have when we travel and stay at a lodge in the Uk through Hoseasons

Is there any thing similar in France ? Need somewhere with nice accommodation but good for kids and opportunity for our ds to make friends easily

Thanks

There are absolutely loads of sites like this in France - more than in the UK. You could start by looking at the Eurocamp site for ideas, but it's then usually cheaper to contact the site directly. Other big chains to look at are Yelloh, Siblu, Sandaya, Castels, Huttopia, Sunelia. All of these have their own accommodation and usually have pools/entertainment. Some are huge with water parks etc, others more low-key so it depends what you like.

I would say it is late in the season to book I'd you are looking at summer holidays so I don't know what availability there will be with these sorts of sites, especially if you are looking to stay in a lodge.

Meant to add, the later you go, the more likely it is there will be availability.

Or try Canvas holidays for more sites.

Thanks @artisanbread

That's great. Ideally we want something a bit more luxury in terms of accommodation too .. do
any of those companies do those too?

Agree with recommendations above.

I would check ferry travel first though as there was very little availability for summer when we booked in February.

We have our own caravan and don't use the on-site accommodation so I couldn't comment in how luxurious they are. Sites with a 5* rating are more likely to have higher quality accommodation. I don't think, eg hot tubs are really a thing.
