4/5* holiday with 3 kids under 4

As a family we'd like to go away for 5-6 nights mid September.

We will have a 3 month old, 2 year old and 4 year old.

I'd like somewhere with a kids club and a kids pool. Ideally a spa and a gym too. Somewhere really lovely as it's our first holiday in years and I want it to be a break for me and DH too hence the need for a kids club...

We'd consider all inclusive as we don't really plan on doing much other than relaxing and playing with the kids.

Thinking Portugal, Majorca, somewhere no more than a 2.5-3 hour flight away (from the north west).

Any suggestions?

Have a look at holiday village or Tui Blue, not 5* but perfect for your kids.

We're going to magic natura resort just outside Benidorm in august. Travelling with jet2 who seem to be weathering the travel chaos a bit.

Benidorm might not be that great a resort BUT this hotel is away from the town centre. It also has an on-site water park and zoo. AI guests get unlimited entry to these two things.

The accommodation is a little self contained bungerlow which 2 bedrooms so we get some proper space from the kids.

We've obviously not been yet so it could be totally shite, but it seemed a good place for a family holiday with a 3 and 5 year old.

Holiday village in Majorca is fabulous!

Da Balaia Club Med in Portugal fits the spec but childcare for under 3s is ££££. You're looking at £350 for a weeks childcare per child at club med.

Many places have kids clubs included from age 4 or maybe age 3. But you'll have to shell out for childcare for a baby.

Our solution? Subsidise taking a gran and Grandad along! Absolutely love taking our PIL on holiday with us. Some of our best hols have been with them which honestly I never thought I'd say, as I am not always the biggest fan of MIL but the holidays have been huge successes in general.

I don't usually shy away from kids on holiday even little ones but you have 3 under 4.

The airports are rife... I know it may be better by Sept tho.

I was going to suggest Portugal for the short flight. Majorca is lovely too.

Look for a hotel with a splash park to keep the kids busy. Agree with the other poster probably some kids club won't accept the 4 year old

Look at Rixos hotels - proper 5 star, totally set up for kids, kids club takes from birth. We went to Rixos premium tekirova in May and have booked again for next year as it was so good.

Have a look at Sani resort. Or sister hotels - Ikos. Pricey but wonderful

popcorndiva · 02/07/2022 16:54

Sani resorts are expensive but cater for babysitting for young ones to give you some me time.

We are just back from Magic Natura which is hilly if you have a double buggy. We had a Bali lodge next to reception and even this involved some serious cardio. The kids club is for school aged children. It is brill for stuff to do, we just took a taxi a couple of times to the beach for sandcastle making.

Holiday village Ibiza is worth a look. Amazing infinity pool / bar for when the kids are in kids club. Lovely beach right on the doorstep.
Food isn't great bit overall I'd recommend

Holiday village Rhodes - I went with 4 under 4 years and had fun. Although going only for 5/6 days might be stressful - I’d want to go longer …… min 8 to get on a plane

however hv kids clubs lasts 1.5 hrs a session and have themes ….. so it’s not like you can drop them at 9 and pick them up at 5. You are constantly in and out of kids club ……

or hire a villa and do east Cyprus - beautiful sand and calm warm water …. That’s when we took the grandparents and then they would b sit for us once we got the kids to bed and we went out for dinner 👍

We just came back from Magic Life Calabria in Italy and it was amazing - we have 2, ages 4&2.

We flew from Gatwick and honestly didn't get stuck in a queue anywhere - security took about 10 minutes departing and we walked straight through Boarder Control when we arrived back - our bags were really quick too - so don't be too put off by the news!

We had a lovely Warners holiday in Sardinia a few years ago.

Neilson holidays have fab childcare. Many to choose from - our favourite so far in Lemnos.

Stokey · 03/07/2022 08:28

We went to Royal Son Bou in Menorca when ours were a similar age which was fun. Sensatori group were also good.

Fashiontatts · 03/07/2022 08:38

We've booked for the RH Princesa in Benidorm (never been to Benidorm before, but looks nice hotel and a nice short flight)
It's 4*, AI, and got 2 kids pools and a splash pool, a soft play, a bouncy castle, go karts, kids football, kids play room/games room etc.
Gets great reviews on trip advisor (what we've based our booking on in all honesty!)

We stayed here in June.

It was fabulous, absolutely brilliant for kids.

PartyPlan · 03/07/2022 09:45

Tui Blue hotels are geared up for easy family holidays. All of them offer a baby club which takes under 3s for a couple of hours per day as well as kids clubs for the older ones. Their rooms are all family friendly too.

DoThePropeller · 03/07/2022 09:56

Ikos (Olivia) and Sani (Club is my preferred but they’re all good) have always been brilliant for us with little ones. You do have to pay extra for under 3 childcare though.

I went there when it was a Club Med resort and enjoyed it.
