Ideas for a city beak in November

I know it’s been done many times before, but looking at prices for a simple weekend break for 4 in eg. Prague or similar they have rocketed since Covid

DH and I are paying, so needs to be cheap (ish)

We went to Prague in early Dec a few years ago. It was nice enough, but not my favourite city break. There wasn't a ton to do there tbh and it was pretty cold, as you would expect at that time of year. It wasn't busy though, so if you've always wanted to go to Prague and the summer crowds put you off, then go.

Given the choice, I'd go to southern Spain or Lisbon, or somewhere where the sun is more likely to shine, but that's just me. I love the sun.

If it was just me and DH we would go to Seville or Lisbon. But it’s not. I don’t mind the cold if we are prepared for it.

I went to Venice in November; equally beautiful, no crowds, lots of indoor sights and nice bars. It was cold and wet but benefits outweighed downsides imo. We did d air bnb and flew cheaply. If you can time it so that you catch the tail end of the biennale even better.
Otherwise; Florence has a lot to offer in the winter. DSis went to Athens out of season and enjoyed it but longer flight.
Naples might be worth it. Fairly far south, beautiful city and plenty to do.

Amsterdam in November was absolutely freezing

Amsterdam isn’t that much colder than here in November. ‘Here’ being east coast Scotland

Our experience of staying in Germany has been that it is v good value and you can easily drive there. Rather cold though.

It needs to be quite “touristy” actually, more so than again if it was just me and DH. Also needs to be cheap as we are paying for 4.

Palma?
Spain is good value and lots of flights.
We adored Sicily but again is quite a long way and potentially more expensive.
Naples would be better.
