Parking in Newquay

So we have a large group of us going to Newquay, Cornwall for a week in the summer holidays. The property has limited parking. Because there's a large group of us, some will need to find alternative parking nearby. Anyone have any tips?
I've checked the council website and you can buy weekly car park passes but these are only valid for that specific car park and it doesn't guarantee you a space. I'm worried we pay for the weekly pass then can't park there.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Any advice would be welcome! ☺️

I think you might just have to see what's available at the time and pay when you park.
Unless someone in the know can come up with a better idea.
Bumping for you anyway.

Thanks!!
Yeah I thought this too. Weekly pass is cheaper but comes with the risk of not finding a space. Getting a new ticket each day might be the safer option.

Could you not pay for a full week when you park, that's what we do in St. Ives

Yeah, the council website says you can pay for the week but it doesn't guarantee you a space. So there's a risk we pay then go out for the day and when we get back there's no spaces.

I didn't think about that, we always park up for the week.
No easy answer unless you can find reserved parking somehow.

Don't know where your accommodation is but as a local I find the quietest car parks are either Tregunnel hill car park opp the fire station OR Atlantic road car park. Both are Cornwall council car parks and quite large and don't fill up as fast as the smaller car parks closer to the town which get chokka pretty fast.

Both are also long stay!
