Have looked online and there seems to be no definitive answer to this, and the gov.uk website have removed their passport checker tool.

If a passport was issued on the 18th March 2013 and expires on the 18th August 2023.
what is the last date is that the passport would be valid to travel to Greece or Germany?

Would it be the 18th September 2022 (9 years and 6 months from the issue date)

Or 18th February 2023 (6 months before the expiry date)

Or a different date!

British passport validity on trips to the EU.

The only tests on the day you travel:-

1. Was your passport issued in the past 10 years?
2. Does it have three months validity remaining after your intended return date?

These conditions are independent of each other.

Your passports real expiry is 18 March 2023 for the date you leave the UK to travel in the EU (10 years from 18 March 2013)

The 3 months you need remaining after you leave the EU is where you look at the expiry date. The 3 months don't need to be within the 10 year period stated above.

You seem to have factored in 6 months whereas its 3 months you need.
