We are going to Bangkok, Phuket and Koh Samui for the first time. Any tips on must see places or accommodation please. I feel very overwhelmed by all the choices!

Hi, I know Bangkok and Phuket quite well! When are you going, and what kind of a trip have you planned? Family, couple, budget etc?

We loved the Anantara Bhoput in KS. It’s a lovely hotel. If your schedule allows, get the speedboat to Koh Phangnan and stay a few nights at the Santhiya resort. Get a room with its own pool, it’s well worth it. Such good value too.
Enjoy your holiday, we took our kids before Covid and we all loved it.

I didn't actually rate the Anantara Bophut. It was okay but I find the suites can be quite dark and damp, and if you get unlucky the pool is full of kids screaming. Not exactly a relaxing experience.

I much prefer the Saree Samui but it's targeted at couples/adults rather than families.

My favourite place to stay in Bangkok is The Peninsula. It's a wonderful spot on the river with their own launch to take you across.

(I used to live in Asia so have spent a lot of time in Bangkok and Samui).

In Phuket (not knowing your budget) a good option might be Allamanda in the Laguna. This is the most reasonably priced in the area and you get a one bed apartment so plenty of space. So, not 5* but good value for what you get. Another inexpensive option is a family run hotel in Surin called Surintra. Do you know where you want to stay in Phuket?
In BKK there are also sooooo many great hotels. My personal favourite is the Conrad. That definitely IS 5*.
