Flying from Scotland to England with kids

We are flying as a family from
Scotland to London next week. Do we need to take passports for the kids as photo ID? Or could my husband and I take photo driving licenses and kids don’t need proof of ID in the UK? Been so long since we have been anywhere! I did Google but wasn’t totally clear. Thanks!

Children under the age of 16 years do not require identification to travel within the United Kingdom.

Check your airline website!

I haven’t been asked for my ID on any flights between Bristol and Glasgow recently so although I’d take it, I’m sure the kids won’t need it.
