Covid pass letter expires whilst away

Asking for DM who hasn’t got a smart phone etc so cannot download nhs app. She has a covid travel pass letter which will expire whilst she is abroad.
I can see stuff about getting another pass in letter form once this one expires but nothing about what to do if it expires when she is away. Can you apply for another one before the expiry date?

All that they issue now are going up to November so just order another one now and she should be covered if going before November.

She’s not going till December. Expires 19th which is ok for going but will expire when she’s away.

Yes they will but it’s too early to request it for December.
