Venice

Hello.... I'm off to Venice for a few nights, on my own, in December, and easyJet have just emailed to say that they are now unable to provide shared transfers to and from the airport to hotel ( and are currently unable to provide private transfers)....

I've never been to Venice before.... So I don't know whether to just jump in a taxi/water taxi when I arrive.....or if I should pre-book now??

Or if I should just change the city break to somewhere else now??

I would pre book. We got ripped off when we took a taxi.

Not sure there is any need to take a water taxi. I just got a waterbus from the airport to the nearest stop to my hotel.

The water bus runs really late and is super easy from the airport to the centre of the city. Just do that. Venice is magical and you’ll have a wonderful time.

Which airport? Marco Polo is easy but knowing Easyjet you could be miles further out.

Yes, waterbus cheap and reliable. Don’t change cities, OP. I’ve only spent a week in Venice at its most crowded and humid, and it was still breath-taking. I can’t imagine anything better than a few days there solo in winter.

We took a bus from the airport , not a water bus and it was fine. Very straightforward.

Oh it looks like they do fly to Marco Polo in which case you can just get the water bus.
