Flying in 2 weeks

Am just about to press the button for a one week holiday at the beginning of July to the Balearics.

We are booking the hotel separately to flights (Wizz Air, flying from Luton) and are very worried about not being covered if there are cancellations.

Do you think we're mad to book now with all the bad press about flights, airport chaos, strike threats OR shall we just pretend the bad news is not happening and hope for the best...

Has anybody flown Whizz out of Luton recently?

Honest answer is I would only book a package with the way things are at the mo.

Wizz have cancelled ĺoads of flights from our local airport and everyone is saying its really difficult to get refunds from them.
Having said that I don't know if they are as bad at Luton.

Thanks for the advice, I'm not sure I could take the stress to be honest, if they started messing about with the flights.

Maybe we'll stay closer to home!
