Sicily or Sorrento?

We have our silver wedding anniversary in November and want to celebrate with a 5/6 night holiday.

Its not a great time of year weather wise and we have ruled out long haul.

Considered Iceland which looks amazing but I don’t fancy having to wrap up warm outside.

So now looking at either Sicily or Sorrento, which would you recommend for a special occasion holiday? I know the weather won’t be hot in November but pleasantly mild is good enough for me.

Sicily is a huge island, where are you thinking of?

We went to Sorrento in the October half term, I know that's a bit earlier than you plan to go but it was still plenty hot at that point. A bit cooler would have been good for sightseeing at Pompeii and Herculaneum.

If you pick a good hotel out of the town centre Sorrento would be good choice. The town itself can be a bit busy.

They are so different OP - one is a small resort town, the other a huge island! Having said that, if you were to go to somewhere like Taormina it would be fairly similar to Sorrento (pretty beach town, touristy, lots of restaurants and shops, stuff to see and do and interesting days out possible). Not sure you could put much between those two choices tbh. Just depends what you fancy really. Sorry, not helpful Grin
