I have booked a week in November at a resort in Antalya Lara beach turkey, this is a surprise for my partner to celebrate and anniversary.

But in my excitement I didn't check what the weather would be like in the region at in November, Iv check online nd there are mixed responses, just wanted to post to see if anyone has any 1st hand experience in the area in November ? Worried that it's not going to be great I don't mind it not being mega hot but not to cool either, anyway give my mind some piece please Smile

Hi Nelly,
I'm just back from Lara Beach where it was sweltering. I haven't been in November but the thing with Lara Beach is that there isn't a lot to do there so it's mainly poolside in your own hotel and beach based. Excursions are a good distance away and we won't be returning - we had a lovely time but there are better places to be based. It wouldn't be warm enough for me to be happy - 21 degrees is ok but not amazing for being in and out of a pool or the sea...but you might be braver than me! And you might not mind travelling long distances by coach. It would be perfect for mooching around a town (Antalya) but I wonder if a lot of places close in the winter. Can you switch your destination?

Yodaisawally · 22/06/2022 13:10

That went well...

Are the pools heated?

TheVolturi · 22/06/2022 13:23

I went there in August and we were talking about coming back in the next month or two, the locals said it will be cold by then!

I lived in Turkey for some years. Weather would be nice at that time down south, but a lot of places might be closed as it's off season. There is ALWAYS public transport to see other towns etc.

I'm there now and we were chatting to a taxi driver the other day when our and about. He said the locals love winter as it's quieter and still warm enough to swim in the sea. Not first hand but he said he enjoys this over winter. I'd make sure you had somewhere with a heated pool

after early October lara beach/Antalya is a completely different place, lots of the pools close and the hotels run on only one or 2 restaurants. We have done it once and now only for our summer holiday, anything out of season we go to the canaries.
