Center parcs- Netherlands

We are thinking of going to Center Parcs in the Netherlands this summer. Has anyone been to any of them? Anybody know which one is best? The kids are 5 and 7 so we’d obviously like activities suitable for that age group. We plan to drive and maybe have a stop off on the way.

Hi, yes we’ve done a few.

het Heijderbos and Het Meerdal are both great for those ages.

Main thing to remember is that the accommodations are usually quite dated and tired in the European CP compared to here, so try to book lodges marked as ‘renewed’ or else opt for a higher grade.

if you’re near the east coast, getting the ferry to Holland eg Hull, Newcastle or Harwich works well as you don’t need to drive far at all the other end.

De Kempervennen is fab. There was a thread the other day about this. See also Eperheide and De Vossemeeren in Belgium. Duinrell, Landal.com and Roompot.com. The Roompot resort in Zeeland is really nice with lots going on and lovely big sandy beach.

Thanks for the info and for the tip about booking a “renewed” lodge!

Check out the Landal GreenParks which are similar to Centre Parks and great for kids. Can recommend Rabbit Hill and Hof Van Saksen. They have loads of activities for Kids

I’d second De kempervennen. Depending on how long you are staying for, you can also visit other CPs in the local area for the day. De Kempervennen, De Vossemeron and Erperheide are all close to each other - less than 30 minutes drive.
