Is Heathrow carnage at the moment?

Flying BA to France on Thursday with a toddler! Have a taxi booked to get there because of train strik🤬 but wondered if anyone has been there in the last few weeks! Is check in Ok and security! I'll be with my 20 month old xxx

Hi. Flew from Heathrow from T5 (I assume you’re flying from T5 as you’re flying BA) and the queues were very short. I was in the departures lounge within 10 minutes.

As long as you leave enough time to check in ect, you'll be ok.

I was in departures twice last week, both over lunchtime and it was absolutely mobbed the first day and really quiet the next. I think it's just pot luck tbh.

T5 was very civilised on Monday and Thursday this week with normal levels of queues and a lot of staff around helping.

Problem when we returned though after landing. Our parking spot was taken by another plane that had failed to leave and we eventually got onto it. Then there were no steps or jetty to get us off! We were there on the tarmac for 70 minutes in the end and our flight had only been 90 minutes!

No problem going to Marseille from zT3 last Saturday. Got there v early as was concerned so had nice breakfast in the lounge.

We are flying BA in a couple of weeks and it is from Terminal 3. I assumed terminal 5 and booked parking accordingly. Now checked and it is T3 so I had to redo all my parking options.

Flew from T3 last Monday with no problems

Terminal 2 last Sunday was a shit show, had to go from security straight to gate

Terminal 2 today OH MY GOD hundreds and hundreds of bags just left, piled high, trolleys everywhere piled with bags
Transit bags ending up on carousel

Took over an hour for our bags to come out and only because passengers were clearing the belt

What's it like in T2 for bags and suitcases being loaded onto the planes? We are flying to Mauritius in a couple of weeks...........hopefully 🙏

Bumping to ask if anybody has travelled through T4 recently? We are flying long-haul this weekend and wondering whether we need to plan to travel carry-on only.
