Greek islands

For those experienced in the Greek islands, how much of a hassle would it be trying to get from the Aegean islands over to the Ionian islands? We'll potentially be away for 2.5 weeks and have a villa already organised on kefalonia. Wanted to do a hit of island hoping with kids (aged 5-7) but there seems to be so much more choice over on the Aegean side.

Does anyone have any advice on whether it would be worth trying to do both sides? And if not, what could be good to do over on the Ionian side. The villa we have is quite isolated, so we'd rather spend the rest of the time somewhere with a bit more life. But not anything overtly touristy if that makes sense??

I wouldn't do it in one trip. There is so much choice in the Ionians.
Levkas, Corfu, Zakynthos, Ithaca.

Ok, thanks for the advice. I'll research more around those islands
