Hey guys I've booked a little mini break for us as a family to alcudia Majorca, 10th October for 4 nights, o just wanted to get the kids on a plane before the end of the year as we have a hectic summer ahead of us, my question has anyone been this time of year ??

Either way it's better than the uk, but it would be lovely to laze around the pool for a few hours and let them potter on the beach

TIA

Iirc it was just about warm enough to swim outdoors but beach was pretty windy.

We had lovely weather there last oct
One day of intense rain. It was still gorgeous though

Alcudia is lovely

The pools will be cold and it'll be cold enough in the evenings for hoodies. Canaries will be better but still long sleeves at night.

I wouldn't count on really hot weather, check with the resort if pools are heated, they will be really cold otherwise. The sea may be warmer.

It's a time for layers, as mornings and evening can be cold.

But definitely a nice area to have a break and the beach is great.

Luck of the draw.

We holiday in the Med a lot in late September to mid October and it's mostly been quite hot with one or two cooler and even stormy days. There's a fairly reliable stormy period at that time of year, so it depends when that hits.

You just need to take a variety of clothes as it could be anywhere from beachwear to jeans, hoodies and waterproofs.

It could be anything OP. The Med in autumn veers between glorious, warm and sunny and cool, grey and rainy. If you're there for a week you could either or both.

RampantIvy · 12/06/2022 07:58

Yes, it is a lottery. The Med gets most of its rain in autumn.

It’s possible to google the predicted temperatures which I often find helpful.
Weve been a few times in October and it’s ways warm enough to swim in the sea. Evenings are chilly.

It varies, we had a holiday glorious weather. Rebooked the following year, weather wasn't good and the resort closed around us. We haven't returned but consider when I'm october you are looking to travel.
