Hotel in Northern France for a few nights

We are booked to go to Disneyland Paris in March for 3 days with my children aged 3 and 6. We were thinking of staying on in France for a few nights afterwards and was looking for a child-friendly hotel. We would like to be somewhere North so its on the way home to Calais but also to be able to have a day trip to Paris by train. Has anyone else done this and do you have any recommendations?

Thank you

Novotel chain have a good kids menu and often hotels have a play room where the kids can burn off some energy.

I would have thought that it would be best to stay in Paris or suburbs because with young kids, travelling an hour from a city like Laon or Amiens would make the day out in Paris pretty long.
