Hi all.

Me, DH and our DD are all going to spain at the beginning of june. This will be her first holiday (20 months) so any advice will be very gladly received!

I was wondering if anyone has stayed in the Riu Monica and what they thought of it? I've heard good things so far, but you can never get too many reviews...Particularly, has anyone managed to stay at one of the suites there??

Thank you all in advance

Wuzzle - I haven't stayed in the Riu Monica, but have stayed in 4 other Riu Hotels, and to be honest I have found them very very good. They all seem to be built and run on the same principle, happy staff, clean buildings, good food. They dont provide creche facilities (their kids clubs start at 4) but if it is a family friendly one then you will be able to get highchairs and cots easy enough.

We have stayed in a suite once, and it was very spacious, but normal rooms are quite big too - so you dont really need it - more of a nice to have.

Essentially dh and I always choose a Riu ahead of any others.

Have you tried going onto tripadvisor.com ? Keep in mind that some people are going to moan no matter how good a place is (british passtime lol) but it should give you a pretty balanced view

Ahh Thanks MamaD!

I'll have a good look at that website that you suggested.

We have pretty much decided that we will be staying in the Riu we won't be dissapointed if we don't get a suite, but we will try (not had a hol for 2 years - we NEED pampering!

I think they are part of TUI group (who own Thomson)

They are TUI - which also own Thomson but run independently if you know what I mean . They have a good reputation and I am staying in one on Tuesday so will let you know !
