Recommendations for AI in Greece

Hi,
Looking to book our first All Inclusive in Greece for August. 2 adults, 2 girls aged 17 and 13.

Bored of villa holidays, really don't want to cook or go to the supermarket. 13 yr old and I would love to meet people and enjoy some entertainment in the evening! Husband and eldest can sit on their own with headphones and read a book!

Would love to go to Greece. Not too far to fly and a bit different. Can anyone recommend a nice AI hotel? Will need 2 bedrooms, big double for us and a twin for teenagers. Budget approx £10k inc flights, hotel and AI.

Thanks!

We are just back from Ikos dassia and it was incredible. Highly recommend!

FoodieToo · 08/06/2022 19:25

Any of the Ikos hotels .
Atlantica Aegean Blue , Rhodes.

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 08/06/2022 19:42

Yep, Ikos. Super pricy but so worth it.

Don't do AI in Greece.
You are missing so much of the experience!

Eden Roc in Rhodes is fantastic.

@bellamountain I loved the look of that hotel but didn't book it as it says one of the beds is for a child, was concerned how big it would be. Looked amazing otherwise and I love Rethymnon too.

Oops just realise I was looking at a different hotel. That one look great for the origanal poster, too expensive for me unfortunately

You do know you are not trapped in a hotel?

I'm going here

amadacolossosresort.com

I haven't been before, but I'm looking forward to it. I've paid £1200 for a week at end of August.

Eden roc is amazing, the food was to die for, especially the sea food at lunch. So many ala cartes and cocktsils to die for.

watersports on the beach and definitely take the boat trip from there.

I think if you want AI in Greece you have to go to the top quality hotels, the smaller more 'Greek experience' hotels just aren't able to do it to the same level. I love Greece, try and go every year, but have never had a good AI experience. It just doesn't seem to come naturally to them as (I feel) a lot of Greek hotels and restaurants are usually about the cooking from fresh experience and that's not as possible with AI. Also, when a lot of the hotels are often surrounded by amazing Tavernas it seems a waste.

Are your girls sporty & like joining in things? We loved Neilson holidays with our teenager.
